      George married Catherine nee Swords on 10 Jan 1858 in the Church of England, Delegate, New South Wales. They had 12 children, Alexander, Charles Henry, John James, Mary Jane, Ellen, James, David, Thomas George, George William, William (1876-1876), William Henry, and James Edward.

      He married Mary Jane nee Jeffery (Cowell) on 27 Jul 1892 in Cooma, NSW.
