  Note: Joseph's surname was spelt Ciawll on the marriage section of the BDM register. He came to Burrangong in NSW in 1845 with his mother and family, from Tasmania. He met Mary Jane at "The Junction" which was a property on the McLaughlin River near Nimmitabel.
